“ Really good food. A host who puts his heart and soul into cooking for his customers himself, often with his own creations that you can't find anywhere else. The terrace with a lake view is the perfect place for brunch. The restaurant has a gallery open year-round, where the host displays his own paintings. The interior alone is worth a visit; you'll find items you'll remember from your youth, assuming you're a child of the 60s and 70s. The host's passion for sports, especially ice hockey, is unmistakable. What impresses me most, besides the good food, is the direct and honest manner of the staff—no fake, up-your-backside attitude. Instead, they're always friendly, especially when the guests know how to behave. If you're looking for a special place with really good food for your loved ones, or for a leisurely brunch with friends, then Strands is the place for you. Since they only serve freshly cooked, seasonal dishes, which also require fresh ingredients, it makes sense to register if you're coming with a group. This information is based on my personal experiences as a guest, for brunch, or as a guest at various celebrations. ”

“ Great atmosphere, good food, and very friendly owners and staff! We were a group of 30 young people on a team-building trip to Lake Ratzersdorf and were lucky enough to get a reservation at STRANDS. Mr. Schröder was very friendly and accommodating right from our first phone call! Since the weather forecast wasn't promising a few days before our planned trip, we asked if there was a room we could use in case of rain. Here, too, Mr. Schröder distinguished himself with his uncomplicated and helpful manner, offering to reserve a room for us. We were even able to use it for our team-building games when the rain started 1.5 hours before our scheduled lunch. Everything went smoothly with the drinks and food, and we were able to return to the sunshine refreshed and energized by the wonderful hospitality. Thank you so much for the great time! ”

“ A straightforward menu with a good selection of dishes, all excellently prepared, a fantastic ambiance, friendly and attentive staff, and you can see the passion that goes into the restaurant, including the delicious homemade ketchup. The prices were reasonable, special requests were no problem, and, to our great delight, many dishes were dairy-free from the start. The wait for our food was minimal; eating there is definitely a must on our next visit to the lake! ”
